Wow, was I really that depressive?

It's summer here in WI which automatically means that people in general are happier and everyone's attitudes are fabulous. It has been exactly a year since moving back "home" and it definitely feels good. Jason and I just bought our very first house in May, and we are in love with it. It's the perfect little house for us, and even as I hear the traffic in our backyard, I realize that this is my house. We don't have a landlord and we can do all the fun things that I've been coveting for years while watching my friends settle into homes. So yay for us. We finally did it!

Summer has been nice and relaxing with a little bit of work mixed in. I've been able to spend some time babysitting my beautiful niece Presley and wow is she an amazing kid. I can't wait to watch her grow up.

We're heading to California in about 9 days. CANNOT wait. We'll finally get to tour wine country, see some sights in San Francisco and Lake Tahoe too. It will be an awesome anniversary for us. Other than that, we're just enjoying life here in quiet WI.

The winter blues.

Here it is, the end of January in Wisconsin. And a freaking cold month it has been. I'm sitting here hoping for a snow day tomorrow....We've made it through a cold month and if I can just get through February, it will be so much better. Luckily I'm going to visit some friends in CO in a few more weeks which should be an absolute blast. I miss having girl time. I think that has been one of the hardest parts about moving back home. Such is life....

Golf.

I have been so fortunate to be able to enjoy this summer in Colorado. Not only do I get to rollerblade alongside tarantulas in my backyard, but I get to enjoy some golf. I truly LOVE playing the game, even though I really suck at it. I will miss my golf buddies, but at least I'm having fun now and enjoying the last few weeks here in this beautiful state.

I'm a UFC junkie.

Saturday night we went to BW3's for the UFC fight. I'm starting to think my husband might leave me. :)
I'm mildly obsessed with one of the fighters in particular--Roger Huerta. It's definitely a crush. The guy has the best looking body and he fights out of MN. Anyone who can claim that they're partially a midwesterner, no matter what the circumstances, then they get a gold star in my book. Sigh. He's just hot. So, yeah, I'm getting hooked on UFC--when I can watch him. Yum.
